The MYTH TROPHY

Barnegat Bay Charities Inc. announces a "dress ship" competition open to all types of sailing vessels owned by members of the Barnegat Bay Yacht Racing Association (BBYRA).

Judging Criteria: The judges, in their sole opinion, will select the competing sailing vessel, at anchor and at "dress ship," that best displays the "spirit" of the occasion and whose vessel is presented in a clean, orderly and seamanlike manner. The MYTH Trophy: Graciously donated in 2003 by members of the MYTH 1889 Syndicate from BHYC, The MYTH Trophy is one of the grandest perpetual trophies awarded on Barnegat Bay. The 100 year old oversized sterling silver flask, beautifully hand-engraved with the words "MYTH Trophy" along with the MYTH 1889 pennant, is mounted on a double pedestal base with engraving plaques. The perpetual trophy will be resident in the winner's BBYRA yacht club for a period of one year, or until the next Barnegat Bay Ball, whichever is sooner.
