Mike Davis Trophy
The trophy is a half model of Mike's green Penguin
The Mike Davis Trophy was donated to the Seaside Park Yacht Club by its Junior Membership in 1973,
in memory of Mike Davis who was tragically killed in a car accident at age 18.
Mike was an active and very good young Penguin sailor in his time.
The Mike Davis regatta was an open regatta sailed as a 3 race series on a Sunday during the summer.
Over the years it was sailed, it attracted not only our best local Penguin talent,
but some National and Olympic caliber sailors as well.
